The Deprivation Of Society Deprive means to take something away from forcibly, dispossess; to keep from having, using, or enjoying [to be deprived of one’s rights].As I look across the landscape, my heart aches over overwhelming deprivation. Normally, secularists equate deprivation with a lack of education, medical attention, and lascivious laws. The Christian, however, primarily thinks of deprivation as the compartmentalization of the Lord Jesus Christ. For example, popular culture wishes to limit the freedom of religion to the house of worship. In other words, secularism rejects and denies the relationship of Christ to daily activities. To see this denial of reality, one only has to observe what takes place. For example:
Wait a minute. I thought that everyone understands that segregation is wrong; that everyone opposes segregation. Thankfully, each honest American realizes that racial segregation is wrong. Unfortunately, most Americans believe the Lord Jesus Christ should and must be segregated from current events. In other words, the following sentence reveals postmodern thought: Jesus Christ has no more relevance to the typical 21st century person than a stagecoach. To see what the departmentalization of life produces, a person only needs to keep up with the news, to see the effects and by-products of life without Christ.
To summarize, everything that is not perfect comes from secularism. Everything. This fact means that as followers of the Lord Jesus Christ we must insist upon the supremacy of the Lord Jesus Christ in everything! Again, everything means everything. We must have Christ in:
Colossians 2:18 states the requirement of God: "In all things he (Jesus) might have the preeminence." Colossians 3:17, "And whatsoever ye do in word or deed, do all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God and the Father by him." Clear? Absolutely. All means all. Preeminence in all means preeminence in all! |
